Possibly the release that everyone’s been looking forward to, is that of Bioshock 2. This new version has many fans way beside themselves in anticipation. This is because the first instalment became a cultural phenomenon in the gaming world once it was released just about two years ago. There are both subtle and obvious differences with the new game.
The old game had Andrew Ryan ruling the Rapture and the city was a chaotic one. There was a free for all mentality that existed in the game. The new Rapture is under the rule of Sophia Lamb and there have been changes. There is great support for Lamb from the major players in Rapture, believing that peace and stability will come to life through her. Now that’s a tall order for any ruler in the gaming world.
The citizens in the game are crazy and are out to kill you and to get some ADAM anyway they can. The Rapture has two new areas that you should be aware of. They are Siren’s Alley and Paupers Drop. Siren’s Alley has a number of plots thrills and turns to it, with a lot of fire fights thrown in. This does not take away from the games basic story. Pauper’s Drop brings with it a new splicer called the Brute splicer and you will do well to watch out for them as you play.
The game also allows you to take your enemy’s picture or film them and gather information about them and their attack methods.
Bioshock 2 is a game that is likely to a games dream and with some great visual designs and challenging game play, this game is a must for all. Before I go I want to bring up a great site that I have recently found about a new technology company called enigin. They work primarily with large industries to decrease the carbon footprint.
