PS3 Consoles and the Criticism

The PS3 console is the third generation Sony video games platform and was made available on the 11th of November, 2006. The console truly fascinated thousands of gamers and technology lovers and definitely influenced the gaming industry quite significantly. The rivals from the other console producing companies quickly responded with new consoles and thus the appearance of the new Playstation definitely led to a rapidly expanding gaming industry and helped to further the sales decline of gaming laptops.

No matter how positive the response to Playstation 3 was, critics are still being active in trying to show how imperfect the console actually is. Generally, the Playstation users have agreed that the platform is quite stable and reports minor problems - just few percent (less than 6%) of the sold PS3 consoles have been reported as crushed and unusable. This is a relatively small amount that is usually observed within the electronics industry. Sony Corporation are, on the other hand, working closely with their customers so that such mistakes and crashes are being resolved almost right away.

However, the British show Watchdog (mainly involved in investigative journalism) tested three PS3 consoles in order to reveal the so cold ’yellow light of death’problem - a crush in the PS3 hardware that leaves the system unusable. The show producers also focused on the issue that the warranty is only one year and people would have to actually pay for a repair of their consoles if the’yellow light’problems appears after the first year - Watchdog emphasized on the fact that actually it is not the fault of the consumer and he should be paying for additional repair.

However, people from Sony did not admit the existance of the problem since only 0.4% of the users in the UK have reported it - such a minor part of reports is quite inaccurate to prove the actual existance of a manufacturing problem. So excluding this minor argument, after all Sony have proved that their work is truly astonishing and that the PS3 consoles are still the leaders in video gaming.

Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed is one of those games that can distract to the extent of skipping to go to work and just make you skip the most important lecture of the academic year. However, every gamer that has played that technological piece of art can tell you that it is not simply a game that you are just eager to finish off but rather a game that makes you wanna play more and more until it turns you into a Creed’s addict. Strong words but this is what happens when a game is a true masterpiece.

The game is developed by the outstanding Ubisoft and was released for the worldwide game market in November 2007. Versions were developed for both PC and gaming consoles ( particularly PS3 and Xbox ) and the game generated largely a positive response by fans of both PC and console gaming. Even though many were sceptical about it before its release, the came became a bestseller in the European and US markets almost as soon as it was put on sale.

The plot of the game is quite fascinating itself and this is what initially attracted many even before the release day - basically it is a science-fiction plot that is centered on a long-standing struggle between assassins and Knight Templars. With the development of technology scientists come up with a way to send a person back in the past. I will not reveal to much of the game’s plot since the thrill of playing it will not be the same, but what your character would have to do is go back in time as an assassin and discover the truth about his ancestors, going through the adventures of the middle ages Crusades and fighting his devoted enemies - the Templars.

With its outsanding plot and fascinating graphics and sound, Assassin’s Creed deserves the attention of every games since it is definitely one of the best games that have ever been released on the market. I would go as far as to say it’s even worth buying a used laptop just to play it.
Even though the release date seems to be in the ’ancient times’( 2007 ), the game can offer the ultimate gaming experience to every single gamer satisfying each of his expectations.
